Well our article regarding Adobe CS5 Serial is already on top and helped over 10,000 users till now and still counting. But yesterday one of my friend told me about hosts file issue, when he got some problem while editing hosts file which is necessary to do for using Adobe CS5 for free. So i thought to start a new article about that and lets explain each and everything about hosts file editing…
If you use the serial without hosts file, It will not work permanent and gives you error again and again… Remember Serials may be different but hosts file editing is same required for one time only so make it now and use all adobe cs5 products for free… ;)
First of all make sure you installed your Adobe’s product perfectly with its working serial number. Check latest comments on our post: Adobe CS5 Serial for Adobe Photoshop.
Adobe CS5 Hosts File Editing
This hosts file editing method is for WINDOWS 7 only, XP and other windows has different path for hosts file.
Step 1:
Under windows 7 go to this path “C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc” there you can see some files. We just need to work with hosts file. First we will copy this file and paste to somewhere else as a backup so if anything goes wrong we can replace that with our edited one.
Step 2:
Now click on your start button search for Notepad, right-click and select Run as Administrator. This should launch notepad with all possible privileges. Now open the hosts file from the directory path: “C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc” if no file displayed, you have to display All Files by typing (* 
in the box. It will show you all files of this directory. Now you can open hosts file from there.
(remember the above path wont show any file if you try it without star number: (* You have to use it to see the All Files)
Step 3:
Now the file is front of you check the last line which is “# ::1 localhost” and paste the below lines right after it.

Step 4: Now save the file and close the notepad. Congratulations you have finished it. Check out the http://justpaste.it/Adobe-Activation to look at hosts file sample. You can match your hosts file entries from there.

This trick has worked for me in the past with CS5, but now that I’m using CS5.1 it is not working. Any ideas? I’ve tried uninstalling, wiping every key from the registry I can find, re-installing and still it says it’s unable to validate.

That happened to me too John. I even tried reinstalling CS5 (not CS5.1) into my other computer and every time it asks for the product key and adobe id, I enter the key with no problems but then when I enter the Adboe ID it says there was an error and It couldnt start my subscription.

Same here. Spent a whole day trying different blocks on the hosts file and re-installing CS5.1 every time. Serial will always work but not the Adobe ID subscription wich is essential ..

I have got full version of adobe CS5.5 and got it cracked already. It worked perfectly for a couple of months and now it started to ask me serial number again.

I had the same problem. I right clicked the Host file and went into properties. There I was able to change the rights to full rights on all users and then it worked just fine, after hours of frustration it was that easy lol. Hope this helps you to

Try to enable you administrative account and log in into it and that should work. To enable your administrative account you have to click start button an right click on computer and and click manage. You will see local users from there you should enable administrative account by double clicking on it to enable it.

Hey guys, I’ve been having the same problems:
I tried reinstalling CS5 (not CS5.1) into my other computer and every time it asks for the product key and adobe id, I enter the key with no problems but then when I enter the Adboe ID it says there was an error and It couldnt start my subscription. Hi,
what if if i forgot step 3? I installed, serial worked well, but then forgot to edit the “hosts”-file. Now it somehow turned into the trial versin. Serial doesn´t work anymore an it can´t be fixed by newly installing it. How do i get rid of the whole installation to try again (without installing a new windows?)

I have done all the stages successfully, but the final part is creating problems. After I have changed the host file, and typed in the serial code. The program accepts the serial code, and then asks me to connect to the internet to create an adobe ID. This is the part where I am faltering at. Please can anyone provide me with any help and assistance???

How to get rid of Adobe ID step without SKIP button?
Under W7-64b, with all hosts set it still asks the Adobe ID after entering the serial. If trying to block with firewall or disconnect from the Internet, it asks to connect to the Internet.
Did anybody get the solution? Would you mind to share with us all? Please, if you know, provide step by step.

I’ve done everything from changing the host file, then I went to put the serial number in and it’s saying it is not valid. I’ve tried about three now and none of them seem to be working.

OK GUYS HERE IT IS:

for the basic steps which I reference.
I found this variation works best:
1. Download host file from the description section of video above.
2. Rename that file from “host.txt” to “hosts” by adding to winrar zipped archive or 7-zip archive and renaming filename inside the archive… then extract file, copy, paste and replace “hosts” file in the directory: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\
3. Download master collection trial from Adobe site.
4. Disconnect internet (important) and install software.
5. While still disconnected, use the second keygen generator from video description section. I found it’s better if you activate each product individually – production suite CS5.5 serial will work for most products though.
6. Play and create!
NOTE: It doesn’t matter if you download software before or after replacing hosts file, as long as you don’t install it while connected and before replacing hosts file.
*** One thing I’m not sure about is whether we can use an Adobe ID for using software such as Adobe Story (whether this will cause them to check the serial. If not send me an email:

Hello all, I think read all comment and its the same problem i have i try every think replace amtlib.dll and change host by edit and crack but the same problem, when you finish its ask to enter Adobe ID even if you disconnect …etc, In the end we must Activation By Adobe ID i think Adobe find away to solve his ass :), Or we must someone to crack it ..

Adobe ID problem;
Recently rebuilt a computer from scratch and all old programs were installing without forcing to enter an ID. Until visited their web site, download a free trial and “wamo”. After that download all old trials asked for ID. So there is the problem. Either rebuild a new computer and don’t go on Adobe web site or anything adobe till you finish your new computer. Then make an image back up so any time in the future you want to install some older program just reinstall your untainted image. From now on it will be tough going so you might as well get started. You can get a free “VM Ware” and build a virtual computer to test if this is the problem
